I truly love the lower half of this photo ... it would make a marvelous panorama, still showing the ominous sky, but focusing a bit more on the low clouds and the horizon. I hope this comment is not offensive.

@Judy aka L@dybug: Not offensive at all Judy.... I fiddled with it a bit and did a crop at half way point and it does look fantastic. A really good idea, thank you.... so glad you made the suggestion. :) Too bad I can't switch with the one I posted today but I don't think that's possible, is it! :)

Thea from Leeuwarden, Netherlands

I read the comment of Judy.
I already said your picture is great.
It's the perfect example of a rich proposal that will give you a second great picture.
That's why clever proposal are great, and that, sometimes, we have to continue to propose some !
Mine would be exactly from 4,9 cm from the bottom.

You could replace it for today but that would be a pity, I think the best idea is to select your preferred proposal among hers and mine and post it, not tomorrow, but in something like one week, for the surprise effect, otherwise it would be redundant.

@Basile Pesso: Hi Basile, yes.... Judy's suggestion was super, I would never had thought of it otherwise. I also agree that it would not have been wise to replace the present with a new version... perhaps I will post it next Sunday. Thank you so much for your input, I appreciate very much!

I totally agree with Judy and Basile. I think the dark sky looks too heavy in this magnificent landscape ... The lower half of this image is really outstanding !!! The colors and light amazing ...

Hi again, Carol. Basile let me know that he'd made a "second proposal" and that's great. ... You asked if you could change your posted image and you can, but I agree with Basile, that you could gain a second posting by reworking this one and posting it a few days to a week out. The drama of this image is incredible as it is. You also have the potential of putting the focus on a portion of it. Play with it and you decide, but I'll be looking to see a panorama in the days ahead.
The thing I like about Am3 is that some offer wonderful critique, while others offer "great shot" comments. It is up to us to look at both and learn from them ... IMHO. <grin>

@Judy aka L@dybug: Thank you Judy, you and Basile have offered some great advice.... I will work with it a bit and see what I come up with. Being an amateur I am open to all suggestions... I like the idea of having another option when I edit my photos also. Thanks again.

I like this image very much. I have lovely layers. But I will look forward to seeing what else you do with it. The sky is amazing, but so is the water.

I love the sky. From this angle, it looks like it goes on forever. It creates such a moody feeling.

Beautiful sky and it reacts well with the water!
Well done Carol!
