Tiger bee fly (Xenox tigrinus): Females seek unprotected nests containing large carpenter bee larvae. If successful, the female tiger bee fly lay her eggs in the nest, and her larvae feed on the carpenter bee larvae.

@Elaine Hancock: Me too Elaine.... I first noticed these flies a couple of years ago. At that time they were very few... but it seems to me that they have increased their presence. The bugs this year were atrocious, especially those beetles!!
